Cards Deck

How can you make a deck of cards look more worn and aged?

Pretty self explanatory. I have a deck of cards that I need to look like they've been used for years. It's for a movie. The only thing I've heard of doing is burning the edges, I don't know if that will work or not.

shuffle them, a lot. this will help break the structure down a bit so that they look used. If you can leave them in direct light for a while (preferable after rubbing lemon juice on them) this will bleach them somewhat; just make sure you do both sides as you don't want aged backs and new looking fronts. Play some games with them, this will help in both seeing where ware naturally takes place with use, but also will help age them. Also you might want to try a charity shop and see if they have some old decks, if it as a prop in a movie or play it really won't matter if they are all there but you will get a better look. If there aren't enough in the pack you could place new ones into it in ways that they won't really show, but the deck will look the right size.
